An amazing start to a series I'm completely invested in. Kadij makes my heart melt and break. He's expressive and warm, and in desperate need of love and I had no idea how that was going to work with a total bratty punk like Trevor, but the revealing of their very intense give and take, dom and sub has been a wild ride. The author left me with my heart broken on a terrible cliffhanger which I am willing to forgive because I know more of these two amazing characters are coming!Product details

This is was a confusing read for me. It was not your regular man meets man and falls in love. It was a first for me. Kandij and Trevor is not a normal relationship for sure. Since this was not a normal read for me I had a hard time understanding the violence in the relationship. Kandij is a really sweet guy until it comes to the relationship with Trevor. One minute Trevor is jealous of Kimiko and Yvette. I really wish I could have followed this story but I am going to continue with this series. Hopefully book 2 will give me better insight. I look forward to reading more. I received this ARC and I voluntarily read it for an honest review.
So at the end of this book, my dominant feeling is confusion, why did certain things happen between Kadij and Trevor. Their interactions are so strange in that I don’t understand the reason why everything happens so sudden and how everything kind of seem erratic sometimes. With all that, I find the story so intriguing that I’m reading along to illuminate my confusion as well as to feed my curiosity about where the story is taking me and how the characters will develop.
The book feels like a second book in a series, where there’s important back story that was needed prior to reading this or something. As much as I enjoyed reading this, there were many occasions of WTF moments because I could not rationalize the actions of the characters.
I hated the ending for its abruptness; it was so disappointing that the story had just ended like that. It was as if you were being brought to a climax and then a sudden stop – no pleasure for you.
I do hope the author plans to publish a follow-up book soon to ease my confusion, I’m eager for more.
